I made dog treats at Christmas time for my many four-legged friends and they were very well-received. These dog treats start out with jarred baby food (you could certainly make your own for the occasion as well), which makes them very adaptable. They also come together in one bowl, so there’s little mess to deal with.
Baby Food Dog Treats
3 2.5 oz jars baby food (I used chicken)
1/4 C. cream of wheat
1/4 C. dry milk powder
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
Knead the dough with your hands and dump out onto a floured surface.
Spray a baking sheet lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
Roll the dough out into 1/4 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes.
Place on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
